Although the deadline for making your family reunion reservations at the Keystone Resort passed on Friday, April 3, there are still rooms available in the Evergreen condos. I know many of you have already made your reservations. If not, please make your reservations now to ensure availability in the Evergreen condos so we can all be together in the same area. Information on making these reservations is posted in the column to the right.
Also, we are forming three committees to help with reunion planning: Food, Fun and Fellowship. The Food committee will help with planning the family dinner on Friday night and the picnic brunch on Saturday. The Fun committee will help plan the "Angell Family Games on Saturday afternoon. The Fellowship committee will plan the "Angell Story Time" on Saturday afternoon and Fellowship time on Sunday morning (worship service, pictures, goodbyes).
To volunteer for these committees, please post a comment in the comments section below. For the non-tech savvy, please look at teh bottom of this message where it says "Posted by Daren Williams at 1:01 PM" followed by a number and the word "comments." Click on the word "comments." The comments section will open so you can see other comments and post your own.
To post a comment, simply type your message in the box. You then have to select an option under "Comment as: Select profile..." If you don't have a Google acount, just select "Name/URL" towards the bottom and you will be prompted to enter your name (required) and a URL (optional). Once you have entered your name, hit the button that says "Post Comment." A box will then open that says "Word verification." Don't freak out here. All you have to do is type the word you see in the box and hit "Finish."
I am confident that everyone (well, almost everyone) can figure this out. My mom did (but dad still hasn't)!

ReplyDeleteKristin and Lesli, you'll be interested to know that so far everyone has requested meat. But don't worry, there will be plenty of side dishes you can enjoy like scarlet fever salad, green jello with pears, baked beans (oh, sorry, there will probably be pork fat in the beans so you may want to avoid them). But if you want tofu you'll have to supply your own.
Jon, are you saying that Julia is a bad, dishonest Angell? Heresy.
ReplyDeleteRyan was at my house this weekend and we both ate twice our body weight in red meat and that included Saturday night when we had sushi. Daren: new idea for your next campaign: "Beef, it's what Angell's eat!" Jon has my proxy.

ReplyDeleteI've been blogging but something very strange is going on as there seems to be a parallel Angell Reunion website dated Feb 6. I've been writing on that one. I think I'm living in a twilight zone. I definitely need that Social Media 101 course.
ReplyDeletePam -- I saw your comments...that's not a parallel site, it's just my original post! You must be going back to the specific adress for that "page." You just always need to go to the address for the main page (http://angellfamilyreunion.blogspot.com) Everytime you open the site you should see the most recent post. If not, just click on the Angell logo at the top and it will "refresh" the page. I must say I really never expected my COUSINS would have such a hard time. I guess I shouldn't give my dad such a hard time :)
